Join us as we learn the ropes aboard our 1963 Pearson Ariel 26’ and slowly transition from weekend warriors to full-time live-aboard sailors. Our vision for That Sailing Couple Podcast is to host meaningful conversations about the ins and outs, ups and downs, quirks and unique aspects of the sailing lifestyle. As we dive deeper into the wild world of blue water sailing, we want to hear and learn from those who are already out there living the life. We plan to discuss and document our own personal journey along the way, but what really gets us excited is forging real connections with other sailors and sharing stories, insights, lessons, tips and ideas. The 122nd annual Great Vallejo Race to commemorate the official opening of the San Francisco Bay sailing season did not disappoint! Of course, the event itself was not a shitshow at all, it was an impeccably executed event hosted by the Vallejo Yacht Club and the Richmond Yacht Club, sanctioned by the Yacht Racing Association of the SF Bay. In this episode we talk about our experience during opening day weekend and race weekend, while looking forward to many more events and social sailing opportunities this season. Let's go!
